Harris Teeter 1/12-1/18

After last week at Harris Teeter, I really don't need very much this week. I'm just trying to let my stockpile of meat die down a little bit before I buy any more meat for a little bit.  Here is how I did with super doubles last week:
I had listed all of my deals on a previous post. My final cost was divided by two transactions. Transaction 1 was 6.67 and Trans 2 was 10 something. I spent less the $17 for all this!

****REMEMBER: IF A DEAL IS BUY ONE GET ONE, THE ITEM RINGS HALF PRICE. YOU CANNOT USE A COUPON ON A "FREE" ITEM AT HARRIS TEETER, SO JUST GET ONE FOR THE BEST DEAL*****

1/9-1/15 Menu Plan

Hey Guys, I'm going to try to keep up with posting a menu plan each week...so please feel free to hold me accountable if I slip up.

If you don't use a menu plan, you should start-it's a great way to save money by making sure that you don't forget to pull your meat etc. Some people like to build in time for eating their leftovers. My husband always eats all of ours at work, so I only use one lunch-time per week generally to allow for leftover eating.

A good menu plan can save you big bucks. Before we had one in place, we would not plan ahead for our next meal and end up having to eat out since a good portion of our foods are frozen!  Used properly you can also reduce the amount of produce and food that you may throw away each week. I will note examples next to my plan for this week. *Remember* you can always trade out items I have for items that you already have on hand!

how to get more coupons

Today I made my last trip to harris teeter for super doubles that I will be making this sale.  I have to hand it to them, they really have done a great job staying stocked.  I was informed by the store right down the street that they got their truck in last night/this morning and were able to refill many things they were probably out of (finish dish detergent, ziplock containers, old orchard juice...)

I also spent a little bit of time today on eBay looking through coupons.  Usually when I hear of a super doubles sale coming up I go onto eBay and purchase coupons for the items I know will be cheap or free. Most people usually haven't singled out those coupons at that point and I can get great deals (1.98 after shipping for 20 $1/1 old orchard coupons making these juices .38 a bottle!). This time  I didn't do this, but still came out saving over $120 and spending less then $25.  I now have 15 containers of juice, 10 new cans of soup, 4 ziplock containers, 2 packs of ziplock bags, coffeemate, bestlife buttery spread, biltmore salad dressing, syrup, 5 twenty count containers of finish dish detergent, 3 packs more of pasta, 2 giant prego sauces, parmasan cheese, a 2 liter of soda, texas toast, and two bottles of reginas red wine vinegar stuff(not sure what to use this for, but I will try some new recipes perhaps!).

Can I solely use coupons for my meals, no, not usually! But! These items are GREAT to enhance my meals and decrease my budget drastically!

*****Please note: IF YOU PUT A BID IN ON COUPONS THAT END TONIGHT...THERE IS A GOOD CHANCE YOU WILL HAVE THEM IN TIME FOR THE END OF THE SUPER DOUBLES SALE!!!!*******

Now I am off to ebay to put in a last minute bid for $1/3 steamfresh variety veggies, which will make these frozen veggies just .33 each on Wednesdays at farm fresh!

My Harris Teeter super double deals!

Between the Farm Fresh wednesday deals, a playdate this morning, other things going on in my life that I have to deal with right now(but would prefer not to) I cannot post all the deals for super doubles. I will post the deals that I got or any deals I would've gotten if my pantry/storage/where ever I can put things weren't so stocked.

This morning I had to run out in a hurry so I didn't get to get all my super double coupons together, but I did get some together and went ahead and got the items I needed most.  My total for this transaction was $6.67 for 16 items averaging .41 per item!

They are also doing a meal deal this week where if you purchase two 45 oz prego pasta sauces you get: one texas toast, one 8 oz kraft parm cheese, one 2 liter pepsi product and 1 harris teeter fettuccine, linguini or angel hair FREE. Use this deal in conjuction with the .60/2 Prego pasta sauces from the 1/02 SS insert to get all of it for 6.70! I personally am low on Parmasean cheese and it is not often on sale for cheap or free so I will be taking advantage of the deal.

Harris Teeter SUPER DOUBLES! 1/5-1/11

It has been confirmed that Harris teeter is going to be doing super doubles from 1/5-1/11. For those of you who do not know what super doubles is--this is the one sale that first got me hooked on couponing.

There is a limit of 20 coupons per day.
One coupon for BOGO items (but you can use one coupon and buy one item at half price).
Limited to three like coupons, or two like printable coupons.

DOUBLES up to and including $1.98. So if you have a coupon for 1.50 off its good for $3 off! This makes many of their regular priced items FREE!

Technically the do not double the coupons that say dnd, but, my store does and yours *might* also.

There are several great sites that do matchups for the super doubles, unfortunately, this go round I am not one of them.  Check out the matchups here, with my coupon teacher(dot) com

:)
